VEHICLE ELIGIBILITY
Eligible Vehicles
A vehicle is eligible for the Ally Limited Warranty if:
It is within current model year + 12 prior model years.
- Its odometer has less than or equal to 150,000 miles.
- It has no more than 3 months or 3,000 miles remaining on the manufacturer's New Vehicle Limited Warranty (NVLW) or Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) coverage for dealers on the 6/6 Limited Warranty program.
It has no more than 9 months or 9,000 miles remaining on the manufacturer's New Vehicle Limited Warranty (NVLW) or Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) coverage for dealers on the 12/12
Limited Warranty program.
It is not listed on the vehicle model ineligibility list within this Guide.
It successfully rates through the Ally Auto Vehicle Protection Center Contracts application.
It passes the Ally Limited Warranty used vehicle mechanical inspection.
Dealers in the State of Minnesota: Under the Minnesota's Used Car Warranty Law, in addition to standard eligibility requirements, the Ally Limited Warranty is only available on vehicles that meet at least one of the following criteria at the time of sale: - have greater than 75,000 odometer miles, o are eight years of age or older,
- have sold for less than $3,000,
o are purchased primarily for business or agricultural use,
- have a gross vehicle weight above 9,000 pounds, o are manufactured in limited quantities,
- are not manufactured in accordance with federal emission standards, or
- have diesel engines.
Ineligible Vehicles
A vehicle is ineligible for the Ally Limited Warranty program if:
- It has a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of more than 14,200 lbs.
- It is an electric vehicle or a hybrid vehicle.
- It is being used for daily rental or as a limousine, taxi, school or church bus, shuttle service, tow truck/vehicle carrier, carpet-cleaning van/truck, or to transport people for a fee.
The manufacturer's NVLW or Powertrain Limited warranty has been voided (applies only to vehicles purchased during the term of such warranty).
It has received modifications that do not meet manufacturer's specifications, including, but not limited to, modifications to permit trailering, towing, snowplowing; lift kits; high performance engine modification; or belt-driven power take-off.
It has a branded or salvage title (severely damaged).
